Council Tool 3.75lb Pulaski Axe w/36" Straight Handle
Made In USA
Renowned for quality materials and craftsmanship, and forged from 1060 steel, the Council Tool 3.75lb Pulaski Axe features a traditional style single bit axe blade on one side and a mattock blade on the other side. Each blade is hand sharpened and meets ANSI Standards for hardness, but is exceeded by Council Tool's internal standards for hardness of a tempered bit. Rust resistant blade is coated with red enamel and a clear lacquer on the cutting edges. Axe head is hydraulically seated onto handle and secured with a serrated aluminum wedge. The serrated shape improves bite and the aluminum choice of material is strong, lightweight and does not change size with moisture content. The double bit American Hickory handle measures 36" in length and is dried to have a very low moisture content to prevent shrinkage and prevent loosening. The interior detail of the eye is tapered and allows for a strong mechanical bond. A portion of the overall length of the handle is removed during assembly. Weight 5lbs.
