Dixon Red Fluorescan Scannable Lumber Crayons leave "Temporary" marks on dry logs & bark, wet logs & bark, grading lumber Plywood, boxes & crates as well as survey stakes. Temporary marks from Dixon Red Fluorescan Scannable Lumber Crayons can also be used for marking under black light. Dixon Red Fluorescan Scannable Lumber Crayons are indicated for "Permanent" marks on Signs and Nursery Tags.
Note: Temporary Marks are considered temporary when mark is removable under normal conditions or standard manufacturing processes. A trial should always be made on an actual surface sample to determine compatibility. Permanent Marks are considered permanent when the mark is impossible or difficult to remove under normal circumstances or standard manufacturing procedures (i.e. Lumber crayons are considered removable on dressed lumber because they will not penetrate the wood surface and can be sanded or joined off. On other surfaces, such as paper or stone, lumber crayons are considered permanent as they are not erasable or easily removed).
